CAIRNS FESTIVAL 2025 || The Whale

The Whale is an immersive and interactive FREE experience featuring a large-scale moving whale figure suspended in space, surrounded by fantastical sea creatures.

With storytelling and an enchanting original score, this unique installation transports families into an underwater world of migration and myth.

Audiences of all ages can join the puppeteers to bring these magnificent creatures to life.

Along the way, discover the vital role whales play in our ecosystem, why they matter to our community, and how we can protect them for future generations.

Running from 6pm on Fri 29 Aug for the length of Festival* with an afternoon and evening show.
